I didn’t get to see the pilot of Supernatural until the middle of January 2006, as that was when it aired on Australian TV. I’d aclautly missed the initial broadcast of the episode, only being vaguely interested in it. My best friend (who lives in the USA and had already seen half the first season) made me promise to watch it when it reaired later that same week, drawing me in with a comparison to the TV show Charmed, and told me I would like it. She was right. It wasn’t until Dead In The Water aired that I became a diehard fan it remains my favourite Season One episode to this day. I haven’t missed an episode since, except for when the network that airs it here screws with scheduling (which it does on a disturbingly regular basis).
