28th August 1970: American pop singer Tiny Tim (1932 – 1996) arrives at London’s Heathrow Airport with his teenage wife Miss Vicki (the couple married live on TV). Tim brought his famous ukelele with him for his appearance at the Isle of Wight music festival on Saturday night’s bill.
